Biografie:
John Richard Schneider wurde am 8. April 1954 in Mt. Kisco, New York geboren. Seine Eltern liessen sich scheiden als er 2 Jahre alt war und im Alter von 8 Jahren begann er mit der Schauspielerei. Er stand in einigen Stücken in New York auf der Bühne und als er 14 war zog er mit seiner Mutter nach Atlanta, Georgia wo er in diversen lokalen Produktionen mitwirkte. 1977 hatte er eine kleine Rolle in Smokey and the Bandit mit Burt Reynolds in der Hauptrolle.
Seinen Durchbruch hatte John Schneider als er die Rolle des Bo Duke in der CBS Serie The Dukes of Hazzard bekam. Seit 2001 spielt er nun den Jonathan Kent in Smallville. Nebenbei ist John Schneider ausserdem ein durchaus erfolgreicher Country-Sänger.
